Ingredients
For the Cheese Fondue:

1 cup (240ml) dry white wine
8 oz (225g) Gruyère cheese, grated
8 oz (225g) Emmental cheese, grated
1 tablespoon

kirsch (cherry brandy) (optional)
½ teaspoon
black pepper
A pinch of nutmeg
For Dipping:
Cubed crusty bread
Steamed baby potatoes
Sliced apples or pears
Cherry tomatoes
Blanched broccoli or cauliflower
Cooking Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Mixture
Rub the inside of a fondue pot with garlic for flavor.
Pour in the white wine and heat gently until warm (but not boiling).
Toss grated Gruyère and Emmental cheese with cornstarch to prevent clumping.
Step 2: Melt the Cheese
Gradually add the cheese to the pot, stirring constantly in a figure-eight motion until fully melted.
Stir in lemon juice, kirsch (if using), black pepper, and nutmeg for extra depth of flavor.
Step 3: Serve & Enjoy!
Keep the fondue warm over a low flame.
Use long fondue forks to dip bread, vegetables, or fruit into the creamy cheese.
Enjoy the perfect balance of richness, tanginess, and nuttiness with every bite!
Warm, gooey, and irresistibly delicious—Fondue is the ultimate comfort dish for sharing!
